BDC School Meda has achieved a significant milestone: official Cambridge recognition for its Primary and Middle School educational pathways.

This marks an important step in the school’s ongoing development, further strengthening a bilingual and international educational project designed to support every student in developing their knowledge, skills and individual potential.

To celebrate this achievement with families and the local community, BDC School Meda will host a special Cambridge Open Day on Friday, 25 September 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at its campus at Via Orsini 35.

The event will officially mark the beginning of a new chapter for the school: an opportunity to present the Cambridge pathway, the BDC educational project and the learning experiences that will shape each student’s journey.

A Recognition That Enhances Students’ Future Opportunities.

BDC School Meda’s entry into the Cambridge International pathway represents far more than formal recognition.

It is the result of significant work to develop and innovate the school’s educational offering, with the aim of providing students with an increasingly comprehensive, international and future-focused education.

The Cambridge pathway integrates English-language learning across different subjects, encouraging an active and thoughtful approach to knowledge.

Students are guided to observe, ask questions, formulate hypotheses, exchange ideas and apply what they learn to real-world situations. English therefore becomes not simply a subject of study, but a tool through which students can explore the world, communicate and develop new skills.

The recognition of the Primary and Middle School pathways also strengthens educational continuity across the different stages of schooling, enabling students to grow within a coherent and progressive educational framework.

BDC School Meda: A Bilingual and International School in Brianza.

BDC School Meda continues its journey of growth with the aim of strengthening its role as an educational point of reference for families in Meda and across the Brianza area.

The school’s educational project combines the academic foundations of the Italian education system with a bilingual and international perspective, while also valuing the culture, identity and local community of the area.

The aim is to provide a school experience that prepares students to navigate an increasingly complex and interconnected world, while keeping each individual at the centre of the educational journey.

Internationality, STEAM methodology, Design Approach, creativity and skills development come together within a single educational pathway, in which every student is encouraged to participate actively, recognise their talents and gradually build their future.

A Growing School Committed to an Ever More Outstanding Educational Pathway.

The Cambridge recognition forms part of a broader project to develop and enhance BDC School Meda.

The school’s work focuses not only on expanding its educational offering, but also on strengthening teaching quality, educational continuity and the learning experiences available to students.

The aim is not simply to introduce a new programme, but to create a school environment in which academic preparation, language skills, innovation and personal growth can progress together.

Every educational decision is guided by the goal of creating value for each student. This means providing them with the tools to understand the world, develop independence, learn to collaborate and approach new challenges with confidence and awareness.

The school thus becomes a place where learning means discovering, experimenting, designing, communicating and growing.

Cambridge Open Day: The Programme for 25th September.

The Cambridge Open Day will give families the opportunity to discover the new pathway and experience BDC School Meda’s educational approach first-hand.

The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will include an official ceremony, presentations and hands-on workshops for children and young people.

4:30–5:00 p.m. | Cambridge Opening Ceremony.

The event will open in the theatre with a welcome for families and an address from the BDC School leadership team.

During the ceremony, BDC School Meda’s Cambridge recognition will be officially presented. This will be followed by presentations in English from Senior students, who will share their educational journey, bilingual learning experience and perspectives on the value of the BDC educational model.

The students’ voices will be at the heart of this moment, as Cambridge recognition represents, above all, an opportunity created to support their growth.

5:00–5:15 p.m. | Discover BDC School.

The second part of the event will focus on presenting BDC School’s identity and educational project.

Families will have the opportunity to learn more about:

  • the bilingual pathway;

  • Cambridge International Education;

  • continuity across the different stages of education;

  • the school’s teaching methodology;

  • the STEAM approach;

  • the development of transferable skills.

This will be an opportunity to understand how the Cambridge pathway is integrated into the school’s wider educational project and contributes to a comprehensive and coherent learning experience.

5:15–5:50 p.m. | BDC Learning Experience.

During the BDC Learning Experience, children and young people will have the opportunity to experience the BDC methodology and the international Cambridge approach first-hand through themed workshops in English, tailored to different age groups.

While students take part in the activities, parents will be able to tour the school’s learning spaces and speak with teachers, coordinators and members of the BDC staff.

5:50– 6:00 p.m. | Cambridge Celebration.

The event will conclude with a gathering for families, closing remarks, the official Cambridge BDC School photograph and a celebratory reception marking BDC School Meda’s entry into the Cambridge pathway.

Learning Through Experience.

The BDC Learning Experience workshops have been designed to demonstrate how curiosity, creativity, English-language learning and education can come together in the classroom.

Science Lab | Young Scientists.

Through experiments, observations and hands-on activities, students will be guided in formulating hypotheses using an inquiry-based approach.

Science will be experienced as a process of discovery, encouraging students to ask questions, observe phenomena and test possible answers.

Art Lab | Create and Imagine.

An artistic and expressive workshop dedicated to creativity, colour and experimentation.

The activity will allow children to express themselves through different forms of communication while developing their imagination, sensitivity and creative freedom.

Storytelling Lab | Once Upon a Time.

Stories, images, role-play and language games will guide students through an English-language storytelling experience.

Storytelling will become a tool for expanding vocabulary, developing communication skills and engaging with the language in an enjoyable and immersive way.

Music Lab | Sing, Play and Learn.

A music workshop conducted entirely in English, featuring singing, rhythm, body percussion and group activities.

Music and movement will enable students to learn through listening, active participation and collaboration.

The Middle School Experience: Be. Do. Create Your Story.

Middle School students will take part in a dedicated workshop entitled “Be. Do. Create Your Story.”

During the workshop, English will become a tool for self-expression, storytelling and creativity. Through creative writing, storytelling and collaborative sharing, students will develop their own stories while exploring their ideas, interests and expressive abilities.

The activity fully reflects the BDC School approach: placing students at the centre of the learning experience, helping them discover their own voice and transforming knowledge into tools for expression and creative development.

A New Chapter for BDC School Meda.

Cambridge recognition for the Primary and Middle School pathways marks the beginning of an important new chapter for BDC School Meda.

This achievement confirms the school’s commitment to continuing to invest in the quality of its educational offering, teaching innovation and the development of a pathway capable of creating value for every student, both now and in the future.

“A Journey into Learning – BDC Meda Meets Cambridge” captures the essence of this new chapter: a school deeply rooted in its local community while increasingly embracing an international outlook, with the growth, wellbeing and potential of every child and young person at its heart.

On Friday, 25 September 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., families will have the opportunity to discover this new pathway and celebrate BDC School Meda’s official entry into the Cambridge community together with the school community.
